CHALLENGE //
Fellowship for Liberated futures needed a brand that embodied their mission to support & empower black women & femmes to recognize & acknowledge rest as a birthright & not a luxury. The challenge was to clarify our positioning, define our audience & create a visual identity for an initiative that would be the first of its kind– one that that would emulate feelings of tranquility while exercising rest as a form of resistance.
APPROACH //
We began by defining who we are, establishing who we are not, & who it was we wanted this program to reach & speak to. From there, we developed a bold visual identity rooted in an essence of familiar comfort & nostalgia– equipped with a website, & an array of print & digital materials that encapsulated the bold, integral, trustworthy, caring, & unapologetic force that is Fellowship for Liberated Futures.

.:.
ICONOGRAPHY
We created iconography that reflect Fellowship's purpose, mission & values. These icons have been used across digital & print materials as well as highlight thumbnails on Instagram.

.:.
RESILIENCE RESET
We adapted some of Fellowship's brand identity when developing a sub-brand identity for a virtual series called 'Resilience Reset.' This series offers guided meditation sessions that celebrate rest as a revolutionary practice where busy individuals are invited to take time away from the demands of their busy days to create space for self-grounding in collective care.

REFLECTION
Unbeknownst to the creative team & myself, Fellowship for Liberated Futures was originally birthed from a pinky promise between the partners– we hadn't heard until launch, that our work had brought their vision & identity full circle in more ways than we knew.
